Nedum Onuoha has stated that Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson ‘just doesn’t shut up’ out on that field and it can be ‘really annoying’, as he told BBC Sport.
The former centre-back played with the Liverpool captain at Sunderland and shared how ‘relentless’ he is in his work.
Whilst Jurgen Klopp is that energy battery on the sidelines and someone who is highly demanding on the training pitch.
It could be argued that Henderson is the player version of his manager and someone who just doesn’t even accept near-perfect.
Onuoha would have played with and seen a younger version of Henderson at Sunderland and he shared how brilliant he is to play alongside.
“Having played with Jordan Henderson and seen him up close and watched him, he just doesn’t shut up,” said Onuoha.
“It can be really annoying, you’d much rather play with him than against him. Some people will say he hasn’t got this or he hasn’t got that, but I guarantee he’s going to be relentless and he will affect the game.
“He’ll always say ‘there’s a man,’ or ‘turn,’ or ‘that’s great,’ ‘that’s not great.’
“To sum it up, when they beat Man United a few weeks ago, it could have been so easy for Liverpool to ease up, but he was one of the people that made sure the standard stayed the same. He made sure they kept that clean sheet and didn’t give the ball away.”

A certain Steven Gerrard will always stand tall as probably Liverpool’s greatest ever midfielder.
But Henderson, for what he has done in the club’s colours under Klopp, deserves to have his name amongst the best of the best now.
It needs to be remembered that life didn’t start off like he would have wanted at Anfield and it was a rocky road during those early days.
But as soon as Klopp walked through the doors of Liverpool, it transformed the hard-hitting midfielder and the club itself.
