Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards has said that he is looking forward to seeing Nicolas Jackson in action for Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The former Manchester City player has said on Sky Sports Football (1:10pm, August 13, 2023) that Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson looks like a real threat, adding that he is excited to see him in action against Liverpool.

Chelsea will take on Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Jackson joined Chelsea from Villarreal in the summer transfer window.

According to The Guardian, the Blues paid the Spanish club a transfer fee of €37 million (£31.96 million) for the 22-year-old Senegal international forward.

Richards said: “I am excited to see Jackson. He looks like a real threat upfront.”

Nicolas Jackson could be a star for Chelsea

In our view, Nicolas Jackson could be a star for Chelsea and could become a real force to be reckoned with for the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.

Jackson scores goals, links up play, takes up good positions in and around the penalty area, and works hard.

The Senegal international forward made 16 starts and 10 substitute appearances in La Liga for Villarreal last season.

The 22-year-old scored 12 goals and gave four assists in those games.

Jackson is still very young and is developing as a footballer.

It is important for the striker that he starts his Chelsea career well.

A goal or two in his opening two or three competitive matches with Chelsea will boost his confidence.

Perhaps Jackson will find the back of the net against Liverpool today if Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino decides to include him in the starting lineup.
