Some Celtic fans on Twitter are gutted about the prospect of selling Tom Rogic.
The long-serving Australia midfielder, who moved to Parkhead in 2013, is reportedly set to leave Glasgow.
According to The Daily Mail, an unspecified Qatari club is poised to sign him in a £4 million deal.
Despite his influence waning in recent seasons, the 27-year-old was a massive player for Celtic once upon a time, scoring close to 40 goals in all competitions from midfield since 2015.
Rogic also has a habit of scoring in Old Firm derbies against Rangers, having found the net on five occasions against the Ibrox outfit.
He’s definitely a popular figure among Celtic fans – and some of them are sad about possibly losing him for good.
Here’s how they’re reacting to the speculation:
As sad as they are, £4 million is definitely good business.
That’s because Rogic only managed to start five Premiership games last season and talent or not, Celtic boss Neil Lennon – who originally signed him – just can’t rely on him playing every week.
The Bhoys are going for 10-in-a-row and if Lennon can put this £4 million toward a similarly-matched player with a much better injury record, it’s a no-brainer.
