Jordan Ibe has posted on Instagram that he is ‘so happy’ for Liverpool striker Divock Origi given his recent run of form.
On Saturday, Origi came off the bench to help Liverpool secure a dramatic stoppage-time win at Wolves in the Premier League.
Before he was handed a rare start by Jurgen Klopp on Tuesday night in the Champions League against AC Milan and he took that opportunity with both hands.
With the game in the balance at 1-1, Origi was finding the back of the net once more, as the Reds made it six wins out of six from their group matches in Europe this season.
They became the first English side to achieve that feat, which is fitting given that they are the richest and most successful British side to have competed in Europe.
Nonetheless, after Origi’s heroics at the San Siro, he posted several images of the evening on his Instagram.
Ibe, who played alongside Origi at Liverpool, posted this classy message to his former teammate:
“So happy for you bro,” said Ibe. “Real talk.”
It will most likely be a place back on the bench for Origi on Saturday when the Reds take on in-form Aston Villa.
Steven Gerrard will be returning to Anfield in the hope of causing an upset against a side where he built his legendary name and status.
Ollie Watkins will, most likely, be handed another start by Gerrard and he will be hoping to cause more damage against the Merseyside club.
The England striker scored or assisted five goals against them last term and he will be hoping to add to that tally at the weekend.
