Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Mohamed Salah on the club’s official website for his performance against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.
Arsenal got the better of Liverpool 3-2 at home in the Premier League.
Salah started the match and came off in the second half.
Klopp has said that he decided to take off the Egypt international forward because Liverpool had to defend on a high level.
The Liverpool boss, though, was impressed by how the 30-year-old played against Arsenal.
Jurgen Klopp on Mohamed Salah for Liverpool v Arsenal
Klopp said: “We had to defend again on a high level and we tried to put Hendo on that side there. Mo did unbelievable, a lot, really big, big workload.
“He put in a real shift and sometimes that’s very intense and that’s why we thought we can do it with Hendo. We still wanted to win even when we took a striker off.”

Disappointing performance
In our view, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah did not have a good game on a personal leve against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.
The former Chelsea player did try his best, but he simply could not make an impact in the final third against the Gunners.
Salah struggled to get past Arsenal players on occasions.
There was one time when the Egyptian went past two players, but he then shot wide.
It was a disappointing day at the office for Salah, who is not in great form at the moment and needs to get back on track.
