Micah Richards has predicted that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is potentially finished at Arsenal.

Arsenal hammered Leeds United 4-1 at Elland Road last night.

Aubameyang was again omitted from the squad over a disciplinary breach last week, resulting in him being stripped of the captaincy at the Emirates Stadium.

This isn’t the first time that the 32-year-old hitman has incurred the wrath of Gunners manager Mikel Arteta.

But Richards, speaking to The Daily Mail, has claimed it might be his last, saying it’s a ‘real possibility’ that he’s finished in North London.

He said: “If a manager decides that is the only course of action, it’s difficult to see a way back for the individual. Time will tell, but it is a real possibility that Mikel Arteta may have ended Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s Arsenal career this week.”

Brazen

Arteta has proven that he’s brazen enough as a manager to completely exile Aubameyang, no matter his importance to Arsenal.

This time last year, Mesut Ozil was on the brink of having his Gunners contract ripped up for good after falling out with the Spanish coach.

Ozil, like Aubameyang now, was earning £350,000 per week at the time, highlighting their star status.

But in fairness to the Arsenal manager, he seems to draw major lines between big names and big players.

And even without his discipline breach, Aubameyang hasn’t really been in the latter bracket at Arsenal – who have won their last two Premier League games without him – for some time, having netted four top-flight goals this season.
