Leeds United head coach Jesse Marsch has told Leeds Live that Wilfried Gnonto could start against Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Marsch’s Leeds will take on Conte’s Tottenham away from home at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
The West Yorkshire club could be without Jack Harrison, with the English winger struggling with injury.
Harrison picked up a muscle strain during Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup tie against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
And Gnonto, 19, could replace him, says Leeds boss Marsch.
Jesse Marsch on Wilfried Gnonto for Leeds United v Tottenham Hotspur
Marsch said about Gnonto: “Yeah, I think if Jack seems a little bit questionable then Willy becomes a real possibility.
“I think Sam Greenwood as well played really well when he came off the bench.
“So it’s a little bit what tactic we decide to use. Is Willy a better fit or is Sam a better fit to supplement what we would require from Jack?
“Regardless, I think that both played really well against Bournemouth, both played well when they came on against Wolves and I know that both will be ready.”

Exciting talent
In our view, Leeds United fans should be excited at the prospect of having Wilfried Gnonto in the starting lineup against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this weekend.
Gnonto has not started a Premier League match for the Whites so far this season following his move from Zurich in the summer of 2022.
The 19-year-old has provided one assist in two substitute appearances in the league for the Whites so far this season.
The Italy international forward is hugely talented and is rated very highly.
Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves said on MatchDay Extra on Premier League Productions (05/11/22 at 8:20 pm) that Gnonto is “so explosive and so quick” and “looks like a rugby player”
