Liverpool should consider a move for the Real Madrid star.

Jurgen Klopp, Manager of Liverpool looks on during a training session on April 9, 2018 in Liverpool, England.

Liverpool are expected by many to mount a sustained challenge for major honours on all fronts this season, and Jürgen Klopp has already made a big statement with the signings of midfield duo Fabinho and Naby Keita.

The German will surely be looking to bolster his attacking options too, however, in an attempt to provide more competition for Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo reported last week that the Reds made a £158.3 million bid for Real Madrid star Marco Asensio, but Klopp would surely be better served in making a move for his teammate Isco instead.

Spain's midfielder Isco celebrates after scoring a goal during a friendly football match between Spain and Argentina at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid on March 27, 2018.

According to a report from the Mirror, the Spain international could be available for around £75 million this summer, and that would represent far better value for Liverpool.

The 26-year-old joined Los Blancos from Malaga in the summer of 2013, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £23 million, but he has never really been a guaranteed starter at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He has so much to offer at the very highest level, though, and his impeccable technical ability, combined with his keen eye for a killer pass would make him a sensational signing for Liverpool.

The Spain international is now at an age where he will want to be playing week-in, week-out, and that might just mean that he has to leave the Spanish capital.

Isco can play anywhere along the front-line or slightly deeper as part of a central midfield three, and with Fabinho and Naby Keita being more defence-minded, he would be the perfect addition to the Reds engine room.

He seems to be on the verge of making his breakthrough as a real superstar, and despite his stellar career already, he would surely reach another level under Klopp, if given the role of the club’s talisman.

And what a signing he could prove to be for Liverpool.
