Real Madrid star, Rodrygo, labelled Aston Villa’s Philippe Coutinho as ‘magic’ on Instagram after his wonder goal for Brazil.
Aston Villa fans must be in dreamland at what Coutinho is showcasing since returning to the Premier League because he is just getting better and better.
Whilst his Villa debut was one to remember, he produced his best moment since that return on Tuesday night when he scored an outrageous strike from outside of the box as Brazil beat Paraguay 4-0 in their World Cup qualifier.
This is what the on-loan Villa star posted on his Instagram, with several players labelling him ‘magic’ in the comments section.
It was a comprehensive win for Brazil, as along with Coutinho, Rodrygo bagged his first international goal, Leeds United’s Raphinha scored yet again and Ajax flyer, Antony added to the dominance.
Brazil have already qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, as this was just a case of them showcasing their power on home soil.
If Coutinho can be a part of that, then it will bode well for Villa and his long-term future at the club.
There is still a long way to go, but the hope, from Villa’s perspective, is to make his loan deal permanent at the end of the season.
Luckily enough for the Midlands side, they have a clause in the playmaker’s contract whereby they can snap him up from Barcelona if all things go well.
And with Villa fans hoping for a return to Europe next season, if Coutinho is still in B6 doing bits in 12 months time, then those in Claret and Blue may not have to wait much longer.
