Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric are among the players who have sent messages to Everton new signing James Rodriguez on Instagram.
Everton have signed James from Spanish and European giants Madrid in the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, the Toffees have paid Los Blancos £22 million as transfer fee to secure the services of the 29-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.
Rangers striker Morelos plays with James for the Colombia national football team and has sent him a message, and so have Madrid midfielder Modric, Juan Cuadrado of Juventus and Carlos Sanchez, who left West Ham United earlier this summer.
Modric wrote: “suerte amigo” (“Good luck, my friend”)
Cuadrado wrote: “Muchas bendiciones panita @jamesrodriguez10 en esta nueva aventura” (“Many blessings @ jamesrodriguez10 on this new adventure”)
Sanchez wrote: “Felicidades magia, te deseo lo mejor en esta nueva aventura” (“Congratulations magic, I wish you the best in this new adventure”)
Morelos wrote: “Bendiciones papa en esta nueva etapa” (“Blessings dad in this new stage”)
Is James Rodriguez a good signing for Everton?
James did not have a great time at Madrid last season, and he also spent two seasons out on loan at Bayern.
The Colombia international is a very good attacking player who scores goals, creates chances, and brings other into play.
The 29-year-old has worked with Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti at Madrid and at Bayern, and the Italian tactician will know how to get the best out of him.
