Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid are looking for a striker, and it has been reported that they have their eyes on Liverpool and Uruguay star Darwin Nunez.
Nunez joined Liverpool from Benfica only in the summer of 2022 and played for Uruguay at the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.
And reports in the Spanish and Italian media claim that last season’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Madrid are looking at the £120,000-a-week (The Daily Mail) striker.
Real Madrid linked with Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez
Italian news outlet CMW have reported that Nunez is at the top of Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti’s list.
The report claims that if Nunez goes to Madrid, then Liverpool will make a move for Juventus striker Susan Vlahovic.
According to Defensa Central, Nunez is among the strikers on the radar of Madrid president Florentino Perez.

No transfer happening
In our view, Liverpool are unlikely to sell Darwin Nunez either in the January transfer window or in the summer of 2023.
Yes, Madrid are arguably the biggest club in the world who need to find a young(er) striker to eventually replace Karim Benzema, who has had injury problems this season.
But, Liverpool are a massive club as well who do not sell their best players unless they have to.
Nunez joined the Reds just a few months ago, and we do not think that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners will sell him anytime soon.
The 23-year-old striker has scored five goals and given two assists in 10 Premier League appearances and has scored three goals in six UEFA Champions League games for Liverpool so far this season.
