Dani Ceballos was the hero for Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

The Real Madrid midfielder, who joined Arsenal on a season-long loan last summer, scored a stoppage-time winner as Mikel Arteta’s side beat Sheffield United to move into the semi-final of the FA Cup.

It hasn’t been a brilliant loan for the Spain international, who has spent much of his time in North London injured.

But Sunday was definitely the big highlight of his time at the Emirates Stadium club so far.

Here’s how Real fans reacted to his heroics on Twitter:

Could Arsenal keep Ceballos on a permanent basis? Until this week, it was thought that the 23-year-old would be heading back to Madrid.

But the former Real Betis star told Cadena Ser recently that he wouldn’t rule out staying in the Premier League.

It remains to be seen whether Arteta even wants him on a long-term basis, but he’s done his chances no harm at all with that goal yesterday.
