Well, Arsenal have signed Martin Odegaard from Real Madrid and some fans of the Spanish club aren’t happy about it at all.
The Gunners announced this afternoon that they had signed the Norwegian playmaker on a half-season loan from the Spanish champions.
At 22, Odegaard is one of the most talented young players at the Bernabeu but has struggled for regular football under Zinedine Zidane this season.
From an Arsenal perspective it’s a great deal and exactly what the doctor ordered, after Edu revealed last month that a creative midfielder was high on the list of priorities.
Fans of the North London side will no doubt be delighted over the announcement, even if there’s no option to make the move permanent in the summer.
But here’s how some Real fans reacted to the announcement on Twitter:
It’ll be fascinating to see what happens with Emile Smith Rowe now that the Odegaard one is a done deal.
The 20-year-old has made that number 10 position his own in recent weeks and the Norway international is certainly going to have to earn his playing time because, as of right now, it’s Smith Rowe’s shirt.
