William Saliba’s performances have alerted Zinedine Zidane who reportedly wants the Frenchman at Real Madrid.

Unai Emery’s side only signed Saliba earlier this summer and the Frenchman is currently on loan at Ligue 1 side St Etienne. The teenager has been hugely impressive this season despite missing seven games in the league already due to a hamstring problem.
The French outfit had won just of their first seven games and looked to be in serious trouble. However, Saliba’s return from injury has been a blessing of sorts with St Etienne yet to lose any of their five games since. Les Verts have kept four clean sheets too and have conceded just one goal with the Arsenal man at the back.
Arsenal struggled to get the deal over the line earlier in the summer but managed to complete it after weeks of speculation. Having forked out a considerable amount of money for the teenager, it is highly unlikely that the Gunners would entertain any sort of offer made from Real Madrid in the next two transfer windows.

The Galacticos are looking for a defender to emulate Raphael Varane, who moved to the Spanish capital from Ligue 1 and has become one of the best defenders in world football. Zidane, also a Frenchman, would be aware of the hype surrounding Saliba since the start of last season and it no surprise that he has considered signing him.
The report also reveals that the Spanish giants are also looking at AS Monaco’s Benoit Badiashile and Olympique Marseille’s Boubacar Kamara who, like Saliba, have made a huge impact in the French top-flight despite being so young.
