Real Madrid have agreed to extend the contract of Eduardo Camavinga after another impressive campaign from the Frenchman.
The 20-year-old played in a variety of positions, including at left-back, as Real Madrid came second and reached the Champions League semi-finals, and the club are thought to be delighted with both his performances and attitude.
It remains to be seen what role he will play next season. The arrivals of Jude Bellingham and Fran Garcia, as well as contract extensions for Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Dani Ceballos, means that there is extra competition in Camavinga’s positions.
A report in MARCA has confirmed that an agreement has been reached to extend the France international’s contract to 2028, with his release clause rising to an astonishing 1 billion Euros.

Camavinga represents the type of signing Real Madrid are targeting nowadays, as an elite young talent with the potential to become world-class.
Real are looking increasingly well-stocked for the future, with the likes of Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and Aurielen Tchouameni potentially becoming mainstays in the lineup for the best part of the next decade.
Camavinga, who joined from Stade Rennais two years ago, has already won nearly every trophy on offer in his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, and was instrumental as Los Blancos won the Champions League in 2022.
There were surprise transfer links in January as a result of his lower game time, but he fought his way back into the lineup and has repaid Carlo Ancelotti’s faith with some fantastic performances.
With Kroos and Modric set to be phased out of the team, Camavinga looks prepared to step up and take the place of the two legendary midfielders, and alongside Bellingham, he has the chance to nail down a starting spot for a very long time.
His new contract will come as a relief, and these young superstars committing their futures to the club is a great sign for Real Madrid.
