The former Manchester United star believes that Nunez was “really good” for Liverpool in their 3-2 defeat to Arsenal.
The Sky Sports pundit has noted that Nunez’s runs against Arsenal were very good, adding that the Liverpool striker caused the Gunners problems.
Gary Neville on Darwin Nunez for Liverpool v Arsenal
Neville said about Nnnez: “I thought he was really good. I thought even in the difficult parts of the game for Liverpool, he was their best player. His runs were good.”
The Sky Sports pundit added: “I thought there were really good signs from Nunez today. I thought he looked a real handful up there.”

Encouraging display
In our opinion, Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez played well against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium today.
The striker scored a good goal in the first half of the Premier League match and worked hard throughout his time on the pitch.
Arsenal defender Gabriel in particular struggled at the back.
Nunez is still getting his sharpness back in front of goal, but his movement against Arsenal today was very encouraging.
The Uruguayan is a proper number 9, and Liverpool are still getting used to playing with him as their main man upfront.
It will take time, but Nunez will come good for Liverpool.
Eventually.
