Joe Cole has raved about reported Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea transfer target Rafael Leao on ITV (8:03pm, November 28, 2022).

Cole believes that AC Milan and Portugal international winger Leao, linked with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham and Graham Potter’s Chelsea, is “a real firework”.

The former Chelsea star has been hugely impressed by the 23-year-old winger’s attributes.

Cole made the comments about Leao on ITV during the half-time interval in the 2022 Qatar World Cup match between Portugal and Uruguay on Monday evening.

The former Lille star did not start the match, but he came on as a substitute.

Portugal won 2-0 against Uruguay to book their place in the Round of 16 at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Leao is repeatedly on the radar of Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham.

Earlier this month, TMW reported that Chelsea and Manchester City could make bids for the Portugal international winger.

CMW reported last month that Tottenham are keen on signing Leao, who has scored six goals and provided four assists in Serie A and has scored one goal and provided two assists in the UEFA Champions League so far this season.

Cole said about Leao: “He is a real firework. He can come on, he can dribble, he scores goals, he is the most exciting young talent in Portuguese football.”
