Stan Collymore has given his verdict on Leeds United and Liverpool on Twitter.
The former Liverpool striker has reflected on Liverpool’s 4-3 win against Leeds at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Collymore was following the match, and he has praised Leeds and has also urged Liverpool to make signings in the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has suggested on Twitter that Marcelo Bielsa’s side lost the game due to lack of experience at the Premier League level.
Positive for Leeds United
Leeds may have lost against Liverpool on Saturday evening, but scoring three goals past the Reds was no mean feat, and that too at Anfield.
The Whites could have defended better and should not have given away a late penalty, but the positives were certainly there for everyone to see.
Liverpool need to improve
It was only the first game of the new league season for the Reds, and manager Jurgen Klopp’s side were far from their best, especially defensively.
It would be harsh to judge Liverpool in a negative way after just one match, but it is clear that the team need to get better in the coming weeks.
