Darren Bent thinks Tottenham Hotspur should look to appoint either Graham Potter, Brendan Rodgers or Julian Nagelsmann as their next manager before Celtic’s Ange Postecoglou.
There are suggestions that Ange Postecoglou is now the front-runner to become Tottenham’s next manager, but Bent warned that the English Premier League is a ‘different animal’ in comparison to his success at Celtic Park and in the Scottish Premiership.
That’s why the former striker would like to see Graham Potter, Brendan Rodgers or Julian Nagelsmann given a chance instead, as he pointed out that all three are ‘ready to go’, as he told talkSPORT.

All three managers were sacked from their respective jobs this season. Potter, after leaving Brighton, was booted out by Chelsea after just seven months, whilst Rodgers left Leicester City weeks before their relegation to the Championship.
As for Nagelsmann, whilst Bayern Munich were chasing the treble in Germany, he was surprisingly sacked and replaced by Thomas Tuchel, only for the club to win the title on the last day of the season and put an end to an embarrassing few months for the club.
Nagelsmann is the guy because of the level he has worked at and his reputation in Europe, that’s why the highly-rated German coach was one of the names put forward by Bent amid this talk around Postecoglu.
“There are options I would have ahead of Postecoglou,” said Bent. “I am not trying to diminish what he has done in Scotland because what he has done is fantastic. But as we have seen, the Premier League is a different animal.
“Go and get Nagelsmann or Rodgers. Or even Potter. They are there. Ready to go.”

NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO ALL OVER AGAIN
The stock of Postecoglou is much higher than Nuno Espirito Santo, who was sacked after ten games by Spurs.
But it does feel like Daniel Levy is going down that same road again in terms of wanting x, y and z managers, failing to get any of them and then being left with number seven on the list.
In truth, just like the mess around Arne Slot, if Spurs fail to get a deal for Postecoglou over the line, then Celtic fans might just be pleased alongside those in Tottenham colours.
