Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer is reportedly being lined up for a season-long loan with fellow Championship side Reading, according to BBC Sport.

The 30-year-old has two-years left on his contract at the Liberty Stadium but Swansea are looking to reduce their wage bill and are happy to see him leave for the remainder of the season.

Dyer would be linking up with boss Paul Clement for the second time and his potential signing would be a massive boost for The Royals.

Clement’s side have lost their opening three Championship games and the possible signing of Dyer would inject more pace and trickery into the final third.

The former Southampton graduate has failed to make an appearance in the Championship so far this season and Clement will be confident Dyer can rediscover his form at The Madjeski Stadium.

Reading have registered just one league goal this season and with away trips to Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa on the horizon, Royals fans would welcome Dyer’s potential loan sooner rather than later.
