Bruce was sacked by Aston Villa at the start of this month, but could make an immediate return to football with Reading.

Reading fans are reacting to reports linking their side with a move for the former Aston Villa manager, Steve Bruce.
The Sun claims Bruce is currently ‘awaiting Reading’s call’ on holiday after leaving Aston Villa at the start of this month.
Reading are currently 22nd in the Championship, two points adrift of Rotherham United in safety.
And the pressure is unsurprisingly mounting on Paul Clement, the Royals manager who has won just six of his 25 games in charge of his hometown team.
But would the Reading supporters welcome Bruce to the Madejski Stadium?
Here is what they are saying about the former Aston Villa, Hull City and Sunderland boss on Twitter…
Not everyone is on board, however…
Bruce twice took Hull, along with Aston Villa’s neighbours Birmingham City, from the Championship to the Premier League.
But despite being tasked with one of the biggest budgets in second tier history, the 57-year-old failed to repeat the feat at Villa Park.

The Villans finished fourth in Bruce’s only full season at the helm, but lost the play-off final against Fulham at Wembley.
Would the former Aston Villa boss be a good appointment for Reading?
