Kris Boyd has written in The Scottish Sun that Glen Kamara will leave Steven Gerrard’s Rangers this summer, amid reported interest from Leeds United.
The former Rangers striker, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, believes that with Kamara not having signed a new contract with the Gers yet, the signs are that the former Arsenal prospect will leave this summer.
The Daily Mail reported last month interest from Premier League club Leeds in the 25-year-old Finland international midfielder, described as “fantastic” by Rangers manager Gerrard on the club’s Twitter page in October 2020.
Boyd wrote in The Scottish Sun: “Kamara has been in talks over a new deal for months and as yet there’s been no agreement. Reading between the lines, that’s not going to happen.”
Rangers stay or Leeds United transfer?
Kamara’s current contract at Rangers runs until the summer of 2023, so the Scottish Premiership champions will not be forced into selling the former Arsenal prospect.
Leeds will probably have to pay a lot of money for the 25-year-old as well, and even then manager Gerrard may not be willing to let go of a player who is a key fugue in the team.

While a move to Leeds would see Kamara play in the richest and most-watched domestic league, Rangers could play in the Champions League next season.
According to WhoScored, Kamara has made 23 starts and five substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership and played 10 times in the Europa League for Rangers this season.
