Is the former Reading striker bound for Birmingham City?

Released Reading striker Joseph Mendes has posted a photo of himself wearing a Birmingham City shirt to Instagram.
Mendes was freed by the Royals last month after two seasons in Berkshire.

And the 27-year-old’s latest social media update has got fans of Reading and Birmingham alike wondering if he has already found a new club – although he does appear to be wearing Royals shorts still.
This is what they are saying on Twitter…
Mendes only scored three goals in 20 games for Reading, but could prove a popular addition if he is to join Birmingham – having struck two of those against Aston Villa last season, as mentioned above.
A knee injury restricted the Frenchman to just four first team appearances in 2017-18 – not enough to secure a contract under new manager Paul Clement.
Birmingham are down to three senior strikers – Lukas Jutkiewicz, Che Adams and Isaac Vassell – after Sam Gallagher’s return to Southampton.
Could the former Reading man be Birmingham bound?
