Wolves look likely to lose their Helder Costa in the summer, but they should consider putting the funds raised from the sale of their star man towards a big money move for Tammy Abraham.

Abraham will be at the top of many club’s wish lists after an impressive season with Bristol City. The on-loan Chelsea forward has scored 26 goals so far this season, despite his side spending the majority of the season in the midst of a relegation battle.
The 19-year-old has been the subject of a number of transfer rumours and he has been linked with a permanent move to various clubs in the Championship. The England U21 star may have to consider his immediate future being away from Stamford Bridge in spite of his remarkable goal haul this season.
It seems more likely that Chelsea will look to cash on their academy product whilst his stock is high.
If Wolves are to enter the race for Abraham then they could use the sale of Helder Costa to give them an advantage in securing his signature.
Costa, who is Wolves’ top goalscorer with 12 goals this season looks set to depart amid speculation that Premier League clubs are plotting a move for the winger (Daily Star). The 23-year-old was signed in January for a club-record fee of £13 million (BBC Sport).
However Wolves fans are quick to accept that his future lies at a higher level than the Championship. His departure from the club will bring with it a healthy profit and this can be used as instant collateral to lure Abraham to Molineux.

Wolves boss Paul Lambert will be hoping to received a vast majority of the funds from the fee received for Costa to invest in the squad.
A striker that is able to provide goals will be essential as Lambert tries to get his side battling at the right end of the Championship table next season. Joe Mason is the club’s highest scoring out and out striker with just four goals.
The signing of Abraham would not only show that Wolves mean business next season but also signal the end of their search to find a suitable replacement for Benik Afobe, who left for Bournemouth last January.
