Sunderland have been linked with a move for Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome and they should do all they can to secure his signature.

The 30-year-old joined the club three years ago from Stoke City and has scored 40 goals for the Canaries. He scored 16 goals last season, despite being in and out of the side for the campaign.
Jerome is thought to be one of the club’s big earners and Norwich are not actively looking to sell him, however if a significant offer is made then they will not stand in his way of leaving this summer.
Sunderland are short of options up front after losing last season’s top-scorer Jermain Defoe to AFC Bournemouth and deciding to release Victor Anichebe.

Sunderland would be wise to pursue their initial interest in Jerome, who has scored 118 goals in his career so far with 76 of them coming at Championship level.
Jerome has two years left on his lucrative deal at Carrow Road but a place in the first-team is not guaranteed. but a potential move to the Stadium of Light will give him the opportunity be the focal point of the Black Cats attack.
Sunderland fans will be hoping that their side can make an immediate return to the Premier League following their relegation last season; Securing the signing of a proven goal-scorer at Championship level will go a long way to achieving this goal.
