Nottingham Forest should line up a move for Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban, in case they are unable to keep hold of Britt Assombalonga this summer.
Nottingham Forest are facing a battle to keep hold of Britt Assombalonga, as their star striker continues to be linked with a move away from the club.
Forest boss Mark Warburton has insisted that he is not looking to sell the former Peterborough forward, although he added that “if any deal represents a good value for Nottingham Forest then we will do it.” (BBC Sport)

Assombalonga only signed a new five-year deal at the City Ground in September, but after scoring 14 goals for the Reds last season following a serious knee injury, rumours of a big money move will come of no surprise to their supporters.
Whilst Forest fans will be keen to see the club keep hold of their talismanic forward, every player has his price. A potential bid from a Premier League club would be difficult to resist and it would be for Warburton to start lining up a potential replacement.
One player that should be considered is Bournemouth forward Lewis Grabban. The 29-year-old is likely to leave the Vitality Stadium, after spending the second half of last season on loan in the Championship with Reading.
Grabban hardly set the world alight in his spell with the Royals. A return of three goals and three assists is hardly inspiring, but he still holds a respectable goals haul in England’s second tier in previous seasons.
38 goals in 106 Championship appearances shows that he is capable of scoring goals at that level. The Cherries have secured the signing of Jermain Defoe, pushing Grabban further down the pecking order.
With this in mind, Forest might be able to secure his services in a cut-price deal that will see them still have significant funds left over from the sale of Assombalonga.
Lewis Grabban has scored just one goal in 22 appearances in his second spell at Bournemouth
