Andros Townsend has made an impressive start at Newcastle United.

Ray Wilkins has encouraged a Premier League team to sign Andros Townsend from Newcastle United for £10 million on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 21st June.
Townsend has already been linked with a whole host of top flight clubs, with Liverpool, Manchester City and West Ham United all amongst the sides interested in the winger.

Townsend reportedly has a release clause in his Newcastle contract, which means that the Magpies have to accept a Premier League side’s offer, if it reaches an already agreed amount (believed to be between £8-12 million).
And Wilkins said: “Andros is a very talented guy. He can take the ball 60, 70 yards. He can be a bit extravagant, I have to say.
“It sound ridiculous but it is small change, £10 million. He would be a good get.”
Newcastle are believed to be confident of keeping Townsend, who has made an impressive start at St. James’ Park.
The Magpies have told Rafael Benitez that he is under no pressure to force players to leave Newcastle, despite their relegation.

Townsend made 13 appearances for Newcastle last season in the Premier League, and managed to score on four occasions.
If the England international did stay with the Magpies, he would surely be a standout player in the Championship next term.
