Everton have been recently linked with a move for Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone.

Former Chelsea player turned football pundit, Ray Wilkins says that he doesn’t know who should be Everton’s next manager, but certainly the Toffees must forget signing Diego Simeone from Atletico Madrid.
Everton are yet to appoint a new manager following the sacking of Ronald Koeman. Sky Sports reported earlier this week that Everton are discussing four potential candidates to become their next manager, and at the top of the chart is Simeone.
The Argentine is one of the coveted coaches in world football, and he is unlikely to leave mid-season. Plus, he has signed a new contract in September till 2020.

Farhad Moshiri is willing to back the new manager with a long-term deal, and willing to provide sufficient funds to buy quality players as well.
Wilkins says that the Toffees have no chance of persuading him to move to Goodison Park. He adds that it will take someone with “a lot of bottle” to go to Everton and sort out their problems.

Everton are currently lying 15th in the Premier League table after 11 games, with only 11 points on board.
“It’s going to take someone with a lot of bottle to go in there and sort it all out,” said Wilkins on Alan Brazil talk show. “But Simeone? Just leave that alone, don’t even go there!”
