Ray Wilkins outlines what annoys him about Dele Alli

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford are England international teammates.

Former Rangers and Queens Park Rangers midfielder Ray Wilkins outlined on the Premier League Daily show on Sky Sports News on Monday morning (10:13am, October 9, 2017) that it annoys him that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli thinks that every time he receives the ball, he has got to do something special.

The former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder made the observation while looking back at England’s performance against Lithuania away from home in their final 2018 World Cup qualifier on Sunday evening.

Wilkins noted that like 21-year-old Spurs midfielder Alli, Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, 19, also feels that he needs to do something special when he has the ball.

“One thing that annoys me a touch with a lot of these young men, Alli is one, Rashford’s another, they feel every time they receive the ball they have got to do something special,” said Wilkins on the Premier League Daily show on Sky Sports News on Monday morning (10:13am, October 9, 2017).

Both Alli and Rashford are very young footballers and are hugely talented, and one can understand why the two England internationals like to play with the ball and create something special.

The Tottenham midfielder and the United striker will be important for England at the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia next summer.
