Slaven Bilic is no longer the West Ham United manager.
West Ham United have parted company with Slaven Bilic. Bilic has been dismissed as the West Ham manager this morning following a run of disappointing results in the Premier League this season.
At the start of the season, West Ham were expected to push for a top-10 finish in the Premier League, but there is now the danger that they could get relegated to the Championship.
The Hammers are third from bottom in the league table at the moment with just nine points from 11 matches.
According to odds on Sky Bet, former Manchester United and Everton manager David Moyes is the favourite to become the new manger of West Ham with odds of 1/20.
The Guardian has reported that the Scotsman is set to given the Hammers’ job on an initial six-month contract.
Former Chelsea and Manchester United midfielder Ray Wilkins believes that Moyes will get the job and has pointed out a sign.
Wilkins has pointed out that while along with Bilic, the Hammers have also let go of coaching assistants Nikola Jurcevic, Edin Terzic, Julian Dicks and Miljenko Rak, goalkeeping coach Chris Woods has not.
“The only person who hasn’t gone is Chris Woods, the goalkeeping coach, and he was David Moyes’s goalkeeping coach at Everton and Manchester United, so it would appear that it’s David coming in,” said Wilkins on the Sky Sports Daily show on Sky Sports News on Monday morning (11:16am, November 6, 2017).
