Does Liverpool star Roberto Firmino need to step up his game?

Firmino, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, is one of the best players in the current Liverpool team.
The 26-year-old Brazil international has been on the books of the Reds since the summer of 2015 when he joined from Hoffenheim for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be £29 million.

The attacker scored 11 goals and provided seven assists in 34 Premier League starts for Liverpool last season.
So far this campaign, Firmino has scored two goals and provided two assists in six league starts.
In two Champions League appearances, the Brazilian has scored one goal for the Merseyside outfit.

Former Chelsea and Manchester United midfielder Wilkins does not believe that Firmino has been at his best so far this season.
“Firmino is not really putting it in this year,” said Wilkins on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (08:53am, October 13, 2017).
“They seem to have a lost a little of Firmino as well. Last year he was absolutely superb, but this year he has been substituted, left on the bench.”
