Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is reportedly on the radar of Manchester United.

According to The Sun, United manager Jose Mourinho has made Tottenham defender Alderweireld his number one January transfer target.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Mourinho is confident that he can secure the services of the Belgium international for a transfer fee of £40 million.
Parlour said about Alderweireld on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (07:23am, December 10, 2018): “I think Spurs will be tempted to take the money with the stadium situation. You know he is going to leave sooner or later.”

Tottenham Hotspur exit?
Alderweireld is one of the best central defenders in the world, but the Belgian is not guaranteed a place in the Tottenham starting lineup at the moment.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has used Juan Foyth from time to time this season, while during the 2017-18 campaign, Davinson Sanchez made 29 starts in the Premier League, according to WhoScored.
With Alderweireld out of contract next summer, as reported by The Sun, and the 29-year-old defender not playing regularly at the moment, perhaps a move could happen in January.
