Tottenham Hotspur plan to move into White Hart Lane in April.

Former Arsenal star Ray Parlour has admitted to Sky Sports that he is surprised that Tottenham Hotspur have decided to move back to White Hart Lane this season.

As reported by Sky Sports, Tottenham are planning to move into the reconstructed White Hart Lane in April.

Parlour has suggested that Spurs should have finished the 2018-19 campaign at Wembley Stadium instead of changing stadiums.

According to Sky Sports, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have won 33 of their 47 matches in all competitions and lost only nine at Wembley.

Parlour told Sky Sports: “Wembley has been pretty good for Spurs. I thought they would have a much bigger problem there, but they have been excellent. I am surprised.

“When they said they would do it in a year I always thought I would be amazed if they did that, because you are always going to have a few snags.

“I couldn’t believe they didn’t just say ‘let’s make sure it’s all done properly and play at Wembley for two years’. That would have been a better scenario.”

Back in action

Tottenham’s recent form in the Premier League has not been great, but the North London won against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek and have booked their place in the quarter-finals of Europe’s premie club competition.

Spurs will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League.

Tottenham have to win this afternoon, as Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United all are very close.
