Chelsea defender John Terry is set to leave this summer… and Harry Redknapp wants him for Birmingham City.
Ray Parlour has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 17th May, that Birmingham City’s hopes of securing promotion would be massively boosted if they could sign John Terry.
Terry’s contract with Chelsea is set to expire at the end of the season, and the Premier League champions have already stated that they will not be offering him a new deal.
As a result, the 36-year-old is set to leave Stamford Bridge for the first time in his career.

And Blues boss Harry Redknapp has already admitted that Terry would be a dream signing for him.
A lot of work would have to be done, if a move was to be completed, but Parlour believes that Terry’s arrival would immediately boost Birmingham’s promotion chances.

“If Birmingham could get someone like Terry, he would give them a massive chance to getting into the automatics or the play offs next year,” he said. “I’m sure he’s got a year or two left in him at centre-back, where he can perform.”
At the moment Bournemouth are said to be leading the race to sign Terry (Daily Mail).
The England international has also suggested that he could retire, if the right offer does not come about.
