Charlie Taylor refused to play for Leeds United against Wigan Athletic yesterday.
Ray Parlour has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on 8th May, that he has been left amazed by Charlie Taylor’s decision not to play for Leeds United against Wigan Athletic.
Taylor’s contract at Leeds is set to expire at the end of the campaign, and the left-back decided that he didn’t want to represent the Whites against Wigan Athletic yesterday.
Leeds boss Garry Monk claimed that Taylor had been badly advised by his agent.

And Parlour said: “I’m amazed by that. You’re playing for a club like Leeds United and you refuse to play! But so many players are badly advised. Sometimes it’s all about money [for the agent].
“I don’t think I was ever involved with a player who didn’t want to play. I’m amazed by that.”
Taylor’s refusal to play for Leeds has soured his relationship with the Elland Road crowd prior to his inevitable departure.

Taylor had been one of the most popular players at Leeds, after he came through their academy to become a first-team star.
However, Leeds fans have expressed their anger at Taylor for his decision not to play against Wigan.
In the left-back’s absence, Leeds picked up a 1-1 draw against the already relegated Latics.
At the moment it is thought that Taylor is most likely to move to West Bromwich Albion in the summer (Birmingham Mail).
