Should West Ham United make a move for Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere in the summer transfer window?
Wilshere is on the books of Arsenal at the moment and has a contract with the North London outfit until June 2018, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
The England international has struggled with injuries throughout his time at the Gunners and spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Premier League rivals Bournemouth.
The 25-year-old suffered with injury problems at the Cherries as well and has yet to feature in the Premier League for Arsenal this season.
Former Arsenal midfielder Parlour has told talkSPORT that West Ham are the perfect fit for Wilshere.
“West Ham will be a great fit for him because he has got young children as well,” Parlour told talkSPORT about Wilshere.
“You know if you go abroad, them kids, he won’t be seeing them on a regular basis, so he wants to be a part of their lives growing up, soI think that’s why he wants to stay in England if he can and West Ham will be a perfect fit, definitely.”
Arsenal have enough good midfielders, and Wilshere will not be guaranteed a place in the starting lineup this season.
In fact, the 25-year-old midfielder will actually struggle to get into the Gunners’ matchday squad this campaign.
While it would make sense for the Englishman to move to West Ham, who are also a London club, would the Hammers be willing to take a risk on signing a player with Wilshere’s injury record?
