Everton got the better of Watford 3-2 at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday evening.

The Merseyside outfit did not make a good start to the match and were 2-0 down to the Hornets after 64 minutes.

Then came the sensational and morale-boosting comeback, as the Toffees scored three goals to wrap up a 3-2 win.

The win against Marco Silva’s side means that Everton are now 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with 11 points from as many matches.

Everton are only two points above the relegation zone, but the win against high-flying Watford must have given the players and the fans a lot of confidence.

It could have been a different result had Tom Cleverley been able to convert an injury-time penalty for the visiting team.

The 28-year-old midfielder officially joined Watford on a permanent contract from Everton in the summer of 2017 after spending the second half of last season on loan at Vicarage Road.

Former Arsenal midfielder Parlour has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Everton’s win and has made a joke about Cleverley.

Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Ian Wright was impressed with the performance of Everton attacker Ademola Lookman against Watford and said on BBC’s Match of the Day 2 (November 5, 2017): “He is one of those players that Everton fans will be able to get behind. He has got great skill, great awareness, great pace.”
