Tottenham Hotspur are set to take on West Ham United at White Hart Lane on Saturday.
Ray Parlour has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 14th November, that he believes Tottenham Hotspur will beat West Ham United at the weekend.
Tottenham head into the match against West Ham looking to protect an unbeaten record in the Premier League, yet their recent form has been slightly disappointing.
Spurs have failed to win any of their last seven matches across all competitions, with a series of draws in Premier League action seeing Mauricio Pochettino’s side slip down the table.
Tottenham are currently in fifth place in the top flight standings, and they are five points behind league leaders Liverpool.
Parlour feels that Spurs will still have enough to overcome West Ham, though, as he was very impressed with Pochettino’s men in their last match before the international break, which finished as a 1-1 draw against Arsenal.
“You look at Spurs and they should win,” Parlour said, when asked to predict Tottenham’s matcha against West Ham.
“I know it’s a London derby, but I was impressed with Spurs at the Emirates. They had the best chances.
“Spurs are a good outfit this year, and you can see why they are unbeaten.”
Pochettino has already expressed a desire to see Tottenham win the Premier League this season, after they went close last term.
Spurs will need to start winning more regularly if they are to challenge for the title, so the pressure is on the Lilywhites to pick up the three points at the weekend.
West Ham head into the fixture needing the victory themselves, after a poor start to the campaign.
West Ham are in 17th place in the Premier League table, with Slaven Bilic’s side performing well below expectations so far.
