Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, Ray Parlour has identified the for key reasons why Jack Wilshere should be a starter for England.
The Arsenal midfielder endured another frustrating year as he missed the majority of the season through injury. He returned towards the end of the season and managed to make it into the England squad for Euro 2016.
It is unknown whether he will be a starter at the tournament or feature from the bench, but Parlour says he would definitely play him, identifying for key reasons why he would do so.
“I would definitely play him, I know he’s had his injury problems over the past few seasons but he’s a quality player,” Parlour told Arsenal Player.
“In terms of what Jack brings to the team, he is always going past players, he’s very comfortable on the ball, he’s got great balance when he goes past players and he always looks forward – he can find that killer pass.”

It will certainly be interesting to see what role that Wilshere has to play with the Three Lions in France.
Manager Roy Hodgson was clearly determined to have him in the squad, but his lack of game time this past season makes many question whether he should be a starter.
There is no denying that he is the best midfielder England have at their disposal when he is on form though, and whether Hodgson decides to take the risk remains to be see.
