Should Aston Villa hand the managerial job to Steve Bruce?

Former Arsenal and Hull City midfielder Ray Parlour suggested on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (broadcast from 6am, October 10, 2016) that Steve Bruce would be a good managerial appointment for Aston Villa.
Villa are on the lookout for a new permanent manager following the recent departure of Roberto Di Matteo.
The Villans are playing in the Championship this season following their relegation from the Premier League at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
Bruce is without a managerial job at the moment following his departure from Premier League club Hull in the summer.
The former Manchester United central defender said on the Goals on Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday morning (broadcast from 11am, October 9, 2016) that he is open to taking charge of Villa (click here to read more).

Former Arsenal and England international midfielder Parlour has suggested that the ex-Sunderland boss would be a good managerial appointment for Villa.
“It’s a huge club, but they have their problems over the last few years, but certainly if they got someone of his calibre, Steve Bruce, then I am sure they will be going the right way to get back in the Premier League,” said Parlour on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (broadcast from 6am, October 10, 2016).

Villa are aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship this season, but things are not going so well for them.
The Villans are 19th in the league table at the moment with 10 points from 11 matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
Villa will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Villa Park in the Championship after the international break.
