Everton have been linked with Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin in the January transfer window.

Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour said on the The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning (broadcast from 6am, January 11, 2017) that Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin would be a good signing for Everton in the January transfer window.

According to The Mirror, Everton are on the verge of signing Schneiderlin from Premier League rivals United.

It has been reported that the France international midfielder has arrived at the Toffees’ training ground to undergo a medical.

The Merseyside outfit will reportedly pay United a transfer fee of £22 million in order to secure the services of the 27-year-old.

Former Arsenal midfielder Parlour believes that Schneiderlin would be a good signing for Everton.

“He would be a very good signing,” said Parlour about Schneiderlin on the The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning (broadcast from 6am, January 11, 2017). “I think Schneiderlin would be an excellent signing.”

Schneiderlin joined United from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer of 2015.

Much was expected of the Frenchman when he arrived at Old Trafford, but the midfielder has struggled to show the kind of form that made him such an important player at the Saints.

Everton are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 30 points from 20 matches.
