Sunderland are currently bottom of the Premier League after ten games.
Speaking to talkSPORT, Ray Parlour has told David Moyes he must remove the passengers from his current Sunderland team.
The former Everton and Manchester United manager took charge at the Stadium of Light in the summer when Sam Allardyce left to manage England.
He has endured a disastrous start to his reign in the North East, with his team currently without a win in their first ten games, the worst start by a team in the Premier League era.

A quick change around is needed if they are to avoid relegation to the Championship this season and Parlour says one Moyes must make is getting rid of those who aren’t really trying.
“I think they’ve got to play a big higher up the pitch,” he told talkSPORT.
“He’s got to push that back four higher and make it a little bit more compact in midfield and get players who want to play for the club. At the moment there are too many people going through the motions.”

It remains to be seen if Sunderland can turn around their form and avoid relegation this season.
There is no denying that the situation is currently a dire one, with them already seven points from safety.
Of course, it is not an unfamiliar situation for the club or the players, who have found themselves in the bottom three at this stage in two of their last four seasons.
That experience could prove vital and Moyes will certainly be hoping so as he already fights to keep his job at the Stadium of Light.
