Tottenham Hotspur and Everton will reportedly discuss a swap deal involving Danny Rose and Lucas Digne.

A report in The Daily Star this month claimed of a swap deal between Tottenham Hotspur and Everton involving Danny Rose and Lucas Digne.
It was reported that Premier League rivals Tottenham and Everton will discuss a swap deal involving the two left-backs.
According to the report, Spurs want to sign 25-year-old France international left-back Digne from the Toffees, but the Merseyside outfit will only consider it if England international Rose is part of the deal.
Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour has given his take on the speculation, and he does not believe that Rose will want to move to Everton.
Parlour said about Rose on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT (7:23am, May 17, 2019): “Why would he want to drop down to Everton?
“I am not being rude to Everton, but Tottenham have always been in the Champions League, in the top four. I think Everton are a very good side, but they are not where Tottenham are at the moment.”

Faith in Harry Winks
Meanwhile, former Arsenal attacking midfielder Paul Merson has given his take on Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Winks being called up to the England squad.
The 23-year-old midfielder has been named in the preliminary England squad for the Nations League finals despite struggling with a groin problem of late.
Merson believes that Winks being named in the squad shows how much faith Three Lions head coach Gareth Southgate has in him.
Merson wrote about Winks in The Daily Star: “Putting Harry Winks in the squad despite his injury tells you Gareth likes him a lot and he’s going to be around for a long time, and I’ve got no problem with that either.”
