Ray Parlour has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 26th September, that Edinson Cavani would be the perfect signing for Everton.

The Toffees have been linked with an ambitious move for the PSG front man by the Daily Mail.

Cavani’s future in the French capital is uncertain at the moment, due to a disagreement that has formed with new star Neymar.

Cavani and Neymar squabbled on the pitch in PSG’s latest match, and the Uruguayan striker’s place in the team is now under threat.

With Everton looking for a forward to replace Romelu Lukaku, Cavani could present an appealing option for Ronald Koeman’s side.

And Parlour believes that the signing of Cavani would suit Everton down to the ground.

“He’d go straight into the first-team at Everton. He’d be perfect,” the former Arsenal midfielder said.

Cavani has been a prolific scorer in Ligue 1 in recent years, and is one of the most feared marksmen in Europe.

Everton have struggled going forward this season, with Wayne Rooney and Oumar Niasse the only two players to have scored for the Toffees in Premier League action.
