Everton are set to take on Crystal Palace at Goodison Park later this evening.

England's Ray Parlour

Danny Higginbotham and Ray Parlour have disagreed on Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 30th September, over who will win Everton’s match against Crystal Palace later this evening.

Everton face Palace knowing that they will move up into second place in the Premier League table if they are able to collect a victory.

The Toffees are the favourites to pick up the three points, but Higginbotham has backed Palace to cause an upset.

“I think Palace,” the former Manchester United and Stoke City defender said when asked who he thought would win tonight’s game. “I think they could cause a surprise.”

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew

Parlour, on the other hand, feels that Everton will come out on top to continue their impressive start to the season.

“I’m going Everton. Under the lights, on a Friday night, I think Everton will have too much,” Parlour said.

Everton go into the match on the back of two straight defeats, so they will be determined to get back on track.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman

Palace, meanwhile, have also made a solid start to the new campaign – and currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table.

If Alan Pardew’s side can pull off an upset, they would move level on points with Everton and climb up to sixth place.
