Tottenham suffered a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at the Wembley Stadium in London in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino were the goalscorers for the Reds, while Spurs found the target in the third minute of injury time through Erik Lamela.
Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool were the better team over the course of the 90 minutes and deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter.
The result means that the Merseyside outfit are now second in the Premier League table with 15 points from five matches, level on points with leaders Chelsea.
As for Tottenham, the North London outfit are sixth in the standings at the moment with nine points from five games.
