Former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur player Ray Clemence has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his reaction after this weekend’s Premier League action.
On Saturday, Spurs lost 4-1 to Manchester City in the Premier League clash. Kevin de Bruyne produced a masterclass performance to earn Pep Guardiola’s side all three points.
Ilkay Gundogan opened the scoring for the home side, before De Bruyne extended the lead in the 70th minute. Raheem Sterling scored twice to put the game beyond doubt.
Clemence noted that Spurs were beaten by a better team on the day. He added that City are looking “unstoppable” at the moment.
On Sunday, Liverpool jumped into the top four again after beating AFC Bournemouth 4-0 at the Vitality Stadium.
Philippe Coutinho scored one and provided another from fellow compatriot Roberto Firmino as the Reds earned a comfortable victory.
Dejan Lovren and Mohamed Salah also scored for the Reds. Clemence has praised Coutinho for his wonderful performance, saying he was “magical”.
