Simon Jordan has described Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte as a ‘raving lunatic’ for his touchline antics.

Conte replaced Nuno Espirito Santo at Tottenham in early November and he’s proven himself a massive hit with the supporters.

His popularity isn’t limited to the fact that the Lilywhites have improved as a team under the no-nonsense Italian manager.

There’s also an element that he’s so popular because on the touchline, he is as passionate as anybody beyond that white line and it’s the sort of emotional investment that supporters crave.

However, the talkSPORT pundit has revealed that he isn’t a massive fan of these sort of theatrics, describing it as a ‘sideshow’.

He told talkSPORT: “I’ve never liked managers to be over-demonstrative, it’s for the crowd. I think it’s a sideshow, but it’s investment. Conte’s like a raving lunatic inside the technical area, isn’t he?

How Tottenham Hotspur supporters pine to see an animated Antonio Conte going wild in the technical area.

The North Londoners haven’t had a game of football in two weeks following a coronavirus outbreak at their Hotspur Way training facilities.

Conte’s players have had three games cancelled since then – one in the Europa Conference League, two in the Premier League – and all the fanbase want for Christmas is to see their boys play football.
