Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports News (1:41pm, August 14, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Nuno could make a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez if Harry Kane leaves for Manchester City.
The Times are reporting that Premier League champions City are planning to make a bid of £120 million for Kane next week.
Spurs head coach Nuno, who was appointed in the role earlier this summer, worked with Jimenez at Wolves.
Former Arsenal star Merson believes that if Kane joins City, then Nuno could go to Wolves for Jimenez.
Merson said on Sky Sports News (1:41pm, August 14, 2021): “Jimenez, I am a massive fan, I think he is a proper player.
“If Harry Kane leaves, I would be shocked if Nuno didn’t go for Jimenez. I think that would be the danger for Wolves.”

Raul Jimenez to Tottenham Hotspur?
Jimenez suffered a severe head injury last season, but the Mexico international is fit and available now.
The 30-year-old is a very good striker who has done extremely well for Wolves in the Premier League.
Jimenez has scored 34 goals in 86 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The Mexican is at the top of his game, and having worked with him at Wolves, Nuno could well be tempted to move for him this summer as a potential replacement for Kane.
However, you have to ask whether Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy would sanction a transfer for a 30-year-old striker.
Moreover, Wolves may not be willing to sell such a key player now.
