Rio Ferdinand has questioned whether Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is ‘rattled’, as he stated on his own YouTube channel.
The former England defender also shared that ‘another problem’ has now been put on Liverpool’s doorstep because of their recent struggles to score goals.
Whilst Liverpool are the top goalscorers in the division, they have only netted once in the league since putting seven past Crystal Palace in the middle of December.
This is what Ferdinand had to say about Liverpool, who are now sitting fourth in the table ahead of their clash against Burnley on Thursday night.
“Is Klopp rattled or what?” said Ferdinand. “Is he rattled?
He later on added, whilst speaking to Emile Heskey: “I’ll be really interested to gauge the mentality and the mental side of thing with this Liverpool squad and the management, at the moment.
“We speak about Manchester United. I think they were happy to get on the motorway and get back to Manchester with a 0-0. Happy to take a point. Let’s move on.
“Whereas it’s still a draw for Liverpool but are they of the same thought process? Are they happy with the draw? And not scoring again is another problem for them. Is it more negative energy coming on the back of that result than positive?”
Liverpool’s front three need to get their motor going once more and then the rest of the team will flow.
But the big problem is struggling to find that balance because of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho playing at centre-back.
Thiago Alcantara in midfield has added spice to their side but he is yet to showcase his full quality after previous injury and COVID issues.
